Some things, like the Pyramids of Giza being power collectors or power plants are a bit far-fetched and unconvincing. He should also update his info on Sodom and Gomorrah (see The Stones Cry Out: What Archaeology Reveals About the Truth of the Bible). One weakness of his books is that he doesn't do much updating or new editions. There are natural events like meteor impacts that make more sense (The Cycle of Cosmic Catastrophes: How a Stone-Age Comet Changed the Course of World Culture).
Childress is also a force in unearthing these subjects few others will examine, though I bet many scholars read them privately. Fans of Childress' Lost Cities series should note that much of the material in this book is taken from that series, so most of this is a re-run for you. Perhaps that's a warning to us. We find that the ancients weren't necessarily more advanced than us, but they weren't knuckle-dragging dummies either. In fact, mankind being advanced from the beginning is one of those thorns for believers in evolution (see Who Was Adam.: A Creation Model Approach to the Origin of Man). Unlikely. And the "Coso Artifact" - it's not a geode.
Childress is an expert at creating piecing together books from exisiting ones. Here Childress once again mines books and history looking to unlock the secrets of ancient races. Ancient atomic weapons. But this book will get you thinking on how much we don't know about ancient man and that, perhaps, ancient man did reach an advanced stage only to be knocked back in some cataclysm.
They will change the way you see the world If you are going to purchase this book I suggest you also purchase Old World Secrets the Omega Project Codes (3rd edition)and New World Bible The Story of the Truth by Brandon Levon. I am happy that I could find more information about our ancient technologies. This book was a great addition to my collection but lacked the timeline of which the events happened. They will give you the insight of how this all played out.
Not entirely convincing, but it is provocative and it brings to light things we may not have considered about our anscestors.
This book is not so much as explaining why as telling you what was. This is a neat book that is what it is fun strange stories. From ancient atomic weapons to virmanas to a 1000 year old iron monument in India that never rust despite being in a region that gets monsoons David brings all kinds of cool stuff to this piece of wierdness. Alot of his odd little stories are in Micheal Cremos Forbidden Archealogy but there are some really wierd one's like when they where blasting a mountain that was millions of years old in wyoming and they found a little cave in the blast site with the mummy of a little human like being sitting in the lotus position that was only 12 inchs high you gotta see the picture of this little guy he looks like Yoda.
References in chapters to photos do not match "photo below" when the photo might be 20 pages beyond at the end of the chapter with all the other photos. This book provides terrific information on the subject including facts and photos, but the editing and presentation of said is sort of annoying. Grammar check was not preformed as various sentences and sometimes whole paragraphs are repeated throughout the book, it's just aggravating.The book does convey the facts about the subject and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in the true history of the human race.
